Rehabilitation with 1000 strokes
Christoph Dür pilots his brush smoothly along the canvas, silently supevised by his master Johannes Kaufmann. His body – injured and handicapped due to a severe accident, is breaking new grounds in Johannes Kaufmann’s studio. Johannes Kaufmann has opened the gates of his sacred grounds for Christoph Dür, because he likes his passion.
About Christoph Dürs works: “Painting is giving him wings. Skillful he is using brush, roller and sponge to create strong pictures”. The works are showing colourful vidid sequences.
Happily Johannes Kaufmann remembers their first meeting of master and student.
Zu Dür´s Arbeiten sagt er: „Die Malerei beflügelt seinen Geist. Pinsel, Farbwalze und Schwamm setzt er gekonnt ein und lässt starke Bilder entstehen.“ Sie zeigen farbenfrohe, lebendige Sequenzen. An das erste Treffen erinnern sich Meister und Schüler gerne. The studio became a sanctuary for Christoph Dür.

After a creative period unter Kaufmann’s supervision, the fist exhibition took place in leate 2010 in Vorarlberg. Johannes Kaufmann engages die project-team Social Painting with Christoph Dür, which he also founded.
This “art-cluster” enables physically handicapped men and women to discover their personal creativity and develop it under professional supvervision.
